Cary, a native Texan with degrees in Marketing and Finance, has held positions as Managing Director, Director of Projects, or Spa Designer and Planner for numerous spas in Asia and USA since 1984. He started his own consulting company in 1988. He is currently co-owner of Blu Spas, an international spa design, consulting, and management company that is an industry leader in award-winning spas, and Co-Founder/Owner of Collier & Collier Spas.

With his wife and partner Kim, they founded Collier & Collier Spas in 1990, and are credited with pioneering the spa industry in Asia, working on such projects as spas at Four Seasons at Jimbaran Bay and Sayan, Ubud, Bali. Cary has worked on over 160 spa projects in 20 countries creating spa concepts, designs and solutions. Most of these spa assignments have been start-ups or renovations for upscale hotels and resorts, ranging in size from 25 rooms to 2000 rooms.

Cary was one of the founders of the ISPA (International Spa Association) Asia Pacific and served as Vice President on the Board of Directors and Advisory Board for Asian Spa Summits. Cary was a recent panelist on the topic of spa trends for Cornell University’s conference held in Scottsdale. He has been a frequent presenter at ISPA Conferences in the US and Asia. Collier contributed as an advisor for Tropical Spas of Asia (released 1999) and 100 Best Spas in the World (released January 2001). He is a selected member of the City Planning Board of Whitefish and Whitefish Lake & Lakeshore Protection Committee in Montana.

He is also a selected member of the Spa Industry Advisory Board for the Sanijet Corporation (pipeless hydrotherapy technology and bathing). In a design collaboration with Sanijet, the ‘Cary Collier Collection’ of luxury whirlpool bath tubs was launched at the end of 2005.

Collier & Collier have offices in Bali, Indonesia, and Whitefish, Montana. He resides with his wife Kim, and their daughters, Cierra and Asia, in Montana, with frequent visits to the island of Bali.
